Ariana Grande is celebrating another major chart milestone after her eighth studio album, Petal, opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Chart data released this week shows the album earned 295,000 equivalent album units in the United States during its first tracking week.
Following the announcement, Grande shared her reaction with fans on Instagram Stories, expressing gratitude for the support surrounding the new project. The debut gives her seven No. 1 albums and marks her strongest opening week of the 2020s.
Petal, released July 31, is Grande’s eighth studio album and follows Eternal Sunshine, which arrived in 2024. The new record continues a busy period for the singer, who has also been performing on her Eternal Sunshine Tour.
The chart result adds another commercial milestone to Grande’s career while highlighting the continued audience response to her latest music. Her message after the debut kept the focus on the listeners who supported the album during its opening week.
