Sam Fender and Olivia Dean have added another week to a record-setting run on the U.K. singles chart. Billboard notes that Rein Me In has now spent 20 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1, extending its place in British chart history.
The latest chart data shows the collaboration remains ahead of its closest competitors. The song had already surpassed the previous record of 18 weeks at No. 1, set by Frankie Laine with I Believe in 1953.
Rein Me In first appeared as a solo track on Fender’s 2025 album People Watching. A later version featuring Dean helped bring renewed attention to the song and contributed to its extended stay near the top of the chart.
The achievement gives Fender and Dean one of the most notable U.K. singles milestones in decades. With 20 weeks at No. 1, Rein Me In has now moved beyond a record that stood for more than 70 years.
