FARGO (KFGO) – The North Dakota Army National Guard will host a mobilization sendoff ceremony Sunday for about 30 soldiers preparing to deploy to North Carolina.
The ceremony for Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 112th Aviation Regiment, 68th Troop Command, will be held at the Fargo Readiness Center.
The aviation unit is scheduled to mobilize in August to Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Once deployed, the soldiers will provide garrison and training-area medical evacuation coverage, which includes emergency point-of-injury care and rapid evacuation.
This deployment marks Delta Company’s first major mission since 2018, when the unit supported operations at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels and Grafenwoehr, Germany.
Domestically, the unit has recently supported regional operations closer to home, including state wildfire firefighting efforts in October 2024 and U.S. Secret Service support in September 2024.
