There are a lot of things our country can learn from history. How some people have come into power is a perfect example. For years, dictators have circumvented laws just to be in power. Then once getting in power they break every law they can to stay there.
The history books are full of examples. Stalin, Zedong, and Hitler just to name the worst. All with one thing in common. They didn’t believe in fair elections.
America is about to find out if we do.
This won’t be the first time there’s been questions about our elections. For example, 2016 led to a fight about Russia that’s gone on for four years. 2000 came down to an unqualified Secretary of State in Florida not allowing votes to be counted. Lyndon Johnson became a United States Senator by adding names to a voting roster after he knew he was short. He was so blatant that he didn’t even use the same colored pen. And there’s no reason to even mention Chicago.
The difference between those elections and this is that at least they tried to hide it. Donald Trump isn’t. He’s using a four-prong approach. All of it so that he can claim victory after defeat. He’s selling America on mail-in ballots being corrupt. Even though he himself uses them. Secondly, he’s telling us that we’ll never get the results on time because you can’t trust the post office. Third, he has begun his birther movement again. This time he has begun telling the American people that Kamala Harris isn’t a citizen of the United States. Instead of the birther movement, they should just call it the racist movement. And lastly, he continues to state that because of this pandemic we should delay the election.
That’s right, delay the election. We’ve gone through 2 World Wars and a Civil War that tore this country in two. All that and we still held elections. And thank God we did. Abraham Lincoln and FDR both took chances that needed the validation of an election. They need our country to say yes or no.
The reason Donald Trump is acting like a dictator from the past is that he fears the results.
He doesn’t want his report card.
Good riding with you.
