Madonna’s next dance album, Confessions II, is expected to include one of her most personal songs in years. Producer Stuart Price said the track, called Fragile, was shaped by the death of Madonna’s brother, Christopher Ciccone, and reflects a period of grief that became part of the album’s creative process.
Price described Fragile as a song built around vulnerability rather than spectacle. The track is said to connect Madonna’s private loss with the emotional pull of dance music, a balance that has been central to some of her best-known work.
The album also includes Bring Your Love, a duet with Sabrina Carpenter. That pairing adds a current pop voice to a project that already carries a direct link to Madonna’s past.
For the sessions, Madonna and Price reportedly used the same microphone from her 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor. Confessions II is scheduled for release on July 3, 2026.
