WEST FARGO, ND – During the Monday, Aug. 3, 2020, West Fargo City Commission meeting, commissioners approved a recommendation to continue the West Fest community celebration the week of Sept. 14, 2020, with adjustments due to COVID-19.
Under this recommendation, the 2020 West Fest parade, family fun and street dance are canceled, but event organizers have been given approval to pursue the annual softball tournament, West Fest fun run, craft shop, kid-friendly concert and more.
Community organizations holding events during this week are encouraged to submit their event to be added to the official West Fest schedule. The softball tournament and Craft and Vendor Show are also now accepting vendor applications.
Certain state and federal guidelines must be followed during the event, along with a new event structure. Masks are encouraged and will be placed throughout each event, and sanitizing and handwashing stations will be available.
If you are experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms or have been recently exposed to a positive case, do not attend these events.
