FARGO (KFGO) – A traffic signal in south Fargo was out for over an hour after a driver tried to avoid a crash and hit an electrical box.
The crash happened Monday shortly after 4 p.m. at the intersection of 45th Street and 11th a Avenue S. Fargo Police Lt. Matt Siders says the driver of the vehicle that hit the electrical box swerved to avoid a collision with another vehicle that was making a left turn at the intersection.
The driver of the vehicle that was making the turn was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way. The driver of the vehicle that hit the electrical box suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Northbound traffic was reduced to one lane and Fargo police officers conducted traffic control until the traffic signal was working again.
