The Wicked: For Good soundtrack, led by the film’s stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, debuted in the Top 10 across seven Billboard charts this week. The album reached No. 1 on the Soundtracks and Vinyl Albums charts, and No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200, marking 2025’s biggest soundtrack debut with 122,000 equivalent album units, while also notching the highest chart premiere for a soundtrack since the first Wicked soundtrack also opened at No. 2 one year earlier. The album also ranked highly on Top Album Sales (No. 2), Top Current Album Sales (No. 2), Indie Store Album Sales (No. 4), and Top Streaming Albums (No. 6). Additionally, four songs from the soundtrack entered the Billboard Hot 100, with Erivo and Grande’s duet, “For Good,” leading the way at No. 43. Wicked: For Good, which premiered on Nov. 21, has grossed over $270 million domestically, and follows the success of the 2024 Wicked film that earned 10 Oscar nominations and two wins. (Billboard)
