A Los Angeles Superior Court judge dismissed former assistant Asta Jonasson’s sexual battery lawsuit against Vin Diesel, ruling California law doesn’t apply to alleged incidents in Georgia. Jonasson sued in 2023, alleging Diesel sexually assaulted her in his Atlanta hotel suite during 2010 Fast Five filming, then had his sister fire her hours later after nine days of employment. Jonasson’s attorneys plan to appeal, stating “The Court did not decide anything about the truth of Ms. Jonasson’s allegations” and called it “a legal technicality.” Diesel’s lawyer Bryan Freedman said “We are grateful that the court put an end to this meritless lawsuit.” (Story URL)
