A Detroit resident jumped onto a car Wednesday after encountering an escaped goat in his west side neighborhood. Security footage captured Dae’lan Scott screaming and climbing on the vehicle as the goat named Smokey approached him outside his family home. Scott’s brother Jupiter Star witnessed the incident from inside while their mother ran outside holding a knife. “She’s afraid of animals,” Star told FOX 2 Detroit. The situation ended peacefully when neighbor Robert Pizzimenti, known as Dr. Bob, arrived to collect his pet. Pizzimenti owns the Psychedelic Healing Shack and keeps three goats: Smokey, Perfect and Angel. City officials cited him for keeping animals without permits, but Pizzimenti hopes they’ll reconsider. “If Detroiters were allowed to farm and garden the way many of us want to, we could have the most unique city on the planet,” he told WXYZ-TV.
