Move over, AC/DC — Taylor Swift might be the actual rock ’n’ roll heavyweight.
A wild report out of Australia just revealed that Taylor’s Eras Tour didn’t just break records… it shook the ground harder than AC/DC at the SAME venue.
🌏 AC/DC Did Shake Melbourne… But Taylor Shook It Harder
During AC/DC’s show in Melbourne this week, scientists recorded low seismic activity — meaning the band and their fans were literally vibrating the earth in the 2 to 5 hertz range.
Pretty impressive. Pretty metal. Angus Young would be proud.
But then came the plot twist.
A lead scientist at the Seismology Research Center said:
“The largest signals we received were on the three nights Taylor Swift played there.”
Translation:
Taylor Swift caused bigger earthquakes than one of the loudest rock bands of all time.
🎤 So What’s Causing the shaking?
According to scientists, two big things are responsible:
1️⃣ Ground-based speakers pumping out massive bass vibrations
2️⃣ Crowds jumping in unison — thousands of Swifties bouncing like a synchronized trampoline
And because seismographs measure ground movement (not sound), it’s the combo of bass + bouncing that sends shockwaves deep into the earth.
Basically, “Shake It Off” is now a scientific phenomenon.
