Spotify will introduce music videos to its U.S. platform within weeks. Users can toggle between audio and video with one button tap, similar to YouTube Music’s feature. The launch follows beta testing that began in March 2024 across 12 markets including the U.K., Germany and Italy, featuring artists like Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat and Ice Spice. Spotify expanded to 85 additional markets in October 2024, adding videos from Charli xcx, Fontaines D.C., and Lisa. It’s unclear if all subscriber tiers will access videos or just Premium users. Spotify reported adding five million Premium subscribers in Q3 2025, reaching 281 million paid users and 713 million total monthly active users. (Story URL)
