ST. PAUL, Minn. – Following the town hall gathering Saturday with Gov. Tim Walz and former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, Minnesota Democrats announced a series of community events to fight for gun violence prevention.
The event in Waconia drew hundreds of people and Democratic leaders. Party leaders say invitations were extended to local elected officials from all political parties, but Republicans either declined or failed to respond.
The party says the next town hall will be Nov. 6 in Rochester.
