HITTERDAL, Minn. (KFGO) — A man wanted in 10 Minnesota counties was arrested in Norman County after a high-speed chase.
Norman County deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle in Gary just before noon Friday. About an hour later, a deputy located the vehicle north of Twin Valley. 49-year-old Damon Anderson was stopped, and he gave the deputy another person’s driver’s license.
Sheriff Ben Fall says while the deputy was investigating, Anderson fled the stop. He led deputies on a chase through Norman and Clay counties, reaching speeds over 100 mph. Police used stop-sticks to disable Anderson’s vehicle south of Hitterdal in Clay County.
Anderson was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, drug possession, and fleeing, as well as for multiple warrants.
Clay County deputies, White Earth and Ada Police, and the Minnesota State Patrol all assisted Norman County Sheriff’s Office.
