A Cold Spring, Kentucky resident known as Halloween Herm is applying for a Guinness World Record for his elaborate Halloween display featuring more than 300 props. The Village Green Drive homeowner has decorated his property for decades, recently naming the setup “Deadsprings Cemetery.” Halloween Herm begins installation each August 18th to honor his mother, who died of cancer in 1999. This year’s display includes a Taylor Swift skeleton and Cincinnati Reds playoff tribute while serving as a fundraiser for the Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center. “We discovered there are no records for the amount of props in a Halloween display. We have over 300,” Halloween Herm said. He told CityBeat: “This isn’t just a Halloween display. It’s a living story.” (Story URL)
