During the season 51 premiere of Saturday Night Live on October 4, host Bad Bunny summoned the KPop Demon Hunters trio HUNTR/X in a sketch where he passionately defended the popular animated Netflix movie to his skeptical friends over brunch. “It’s actually not for kids. It’s for smart adults,” Bad Bunny explains. “In KPop Demon Hunters, songs are not just songs. They are weapons. What else is gonna save you from demons, you idiot.” The sketch turned chaotic when cast member Bowen Yang appeared as a demon to disrupt the brunch, only to be saved by HUNTR/X performing a snippet of their hit single, “Golden,” live on TV for the first time. The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack is the current No. 1 album in the country, while “Golden” topped the Hot 100 chart for seven weeks. HUNTR/X will be interviewed and perform “Golden” in full live for the first time on The Tonight Show on October 7. (Billboard)
