Parents in Ione, California are demanding increased security measures after a man allegedly fed grapes to children through a school fence during recess. One father said his daughter became afraid to return to school after the incident. “She didn’t want to go to school for the week, actually,” he said. “She didn’t want another strange man walking up.” According to parents, a yard duty supervisor told students to ask the man to return a ball that went over the fence. When children approached, the man gave them grapes. Police confirmed a man parked near the fence, approached the play area, then left. Investigators are reviewing security footage but noted no laws appear to have been broken. (Story URL)
