WATFORD CITY, N.D. (KFGO) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating a crash south of Watford City Sunday morning that left a 25-year-old woman and 5-year-old girl dead.
The Highway Patrol says the woman and girl were passengers in a car driven by a 24-year-old man. All three are from Watford City. They were southbound on Highway 85 when a 41-year-old Tennessee man driving a semi disregarded a stop sign and t-boned the car on the passenger side.
The woman and girl died at the scene. The driver of the car suffered serious injuries and was flown to a Bismarck hospital. The semi driver was not hurt.
The Highway Patrol, McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office, McKenzie Rural Fire, Watford City Police, and McKenzie County Ambulance responded.
