Several Colombian music stars are showing support for communities affected by the powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake that struck western Colombia on Monday. In messages shared after the quake, Shakira, Maluma, Camilo and other artists expressed concern for victims and their families while encouraging people to remain united.
As emergency and rescue efforts continued, the artists used their social media platforms to highlight the situation and send messages of solidarity. Shakira shared her support for her home country and encouraged Colombians to stay informed so they could help those in need.
Maluma also called for strength and unity, while Camilo joined other performers in recognizing the impact of the disaster. J Balvin, Karol G and additional Colombian artists shared similar messages and helped draw attention to relief efforts.
The earthquake caused widespread damage across parts of western Colombia, including areas in Chocó and several major cities. Rescue teams continued working in affected communities as officials assessed the extent of the damage and coordinated assistance.
