Kourtney Stevenson faces four felonies after allegedly spraying a substance on a customer’s food delivery in Evansville, Indiana on December 7th. Doorbell camera footage captured Stevenson using the spray during the delivery. When questioned by Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office detectives, Stevenson claimed she was trying to pepper spray a spider because she is “terrified of spiders.” Authorities noted the overnight temperature was 35 degrees, stating “At that temperature, outdoor spiders in Indiana are not active and would not be capable of crawling on exposed surfaces.” The customer’s wife became ill after eating the food, choking and vomiting. Stevenson was arrested after canceling an interview with detectives. She faces two counts of battery resulting in moderate injury and two counts of consumer product tampering. DoorDash revoked her platform access. (Story URL)
