Lifetime revealed its January “Ripped From The Headlines” film slate featuring three true crime stories. Mary Jo Buttafuoco narrates and executive produces I Am Mary Jo Buttafuoco, premiering January 17th. Chloe Lanier portrays Buttafuoco in the story about her 1990s shooting by her husband Joey’s 17-year-old mistress Amy Fischer, dubbed the “Long Island Lolita.” “What many didn’t see was the private toll it took-battling depression, suicidal thoughts, and addiction as I tried to make sense of a life that had been so violently and publicly shattered,” Buttafuoco said. Katie Cassidy stars in Accused: The Karen Read Story on January 10th, about Read’s murder accusation regarding her boyfriend’s 2022 death. Read was found not guilty in June. Kate Beckinsale leads Stolen Girl on January 7th, playing a mother rescuing her daughter from an ex-husband in Lebanon. (Story URL)
