Cornwall Borough Police in Pennsylvania responded November 29th, to reports of an unusually tame deer on a West Cornwall Township business property. “The deer was spray-painted on both sides of his body with fluorescent orange paint [with] the word ‘PET.’ He had no fear of anyone that was around and acted like it wanted the on-scene officer to pet it,” police posted on Facebook. State Game Warden Salsgiver believes the deer was likely someone’s illegal pet that grew too large and was released. The warden used the incident to remind residents that owning pet deer is illegal in Pennsylvania. A similar case occurred in Missouri in October 2023. (Story URL)
