Ozzy, a French mastiff and bull mastiff mix from Oklahoma, has earned the Guinness World Record for longest tongue on a living dog. The tongue belonging to Angela Pick’s family pet measures 7.83 inches long, surpassing the previous record held by Rocky from Bloomington, Illinois, whose tongue measured 5.46 inches in 2023. Pick told Guinness World Records that Ozzy “has always had a tongue that sticks out of his mouth, ever since he was born.” She added, “But there’s nothing medically wrong with him, we’ve had him looked at a couple of times by a veterinarian, and there’s no dental issues or anything — it’s just abnormally, awkwardly long!” Despite his record-breaking tongue size, Pick notes that Ozzy “doesn’t really lick a whole lot” and “doesn’t give kisses — he gets in your face and kind of loves and rubs noses, but he doesn’t really lick on a lot of stuff!” (Story URL)
