Ray Romano definitively stated Everybody Loves Raymond will never return as a reboot during the show’s recent 30th Anniversary Reunion special. “We’re never going to do [a reboot], because we’re missing three cast members, three family members,” Romano explained. “We’d never try to do the show without them.” Co-creator Phil Rosenthal agreed, saying “It wouldn’t be the same. We have too much respect for the show itself and for the beautiful audience.” The CBS sitcom aired from 1996 to 2005 and won 15 Emmys. Three original cast members have died: Peter Boyle, Doris Roberts, and Sawyer Sweeten. Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Monica Horan, and Sullivan Sweeten joined the reunion. All nine seasons stream on Peacock and Paramount+. (Story URL)
