Kim Kardashian disclosed on Thursday’s new Kardashians episode that she “used an alias to bid on the Bible” at an O.J. Simpson estate auction, paying $80,276 on March 29. The reality star initially tried contacting Simpson’s estate directly to “offer to buy it without having to go through the auction,” but correspondence was leaked to TMZ. The Bible belonged to her late father Robert Kardashian, Simpson’s defense attorney who died in 2003, with his name inscribed inside. Kardashian told daughter Chicago the Bible was given to Simpson “to give him some motivation from Jesus” and includes a note dated June 18, 1994, months before Simpson’s murder trial for Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman’s deaths. Kardashian later gave the Bible to sister Khloé, explaining to Chicago that Simpson’s story is complex and she’ll share details “when you’re older.” (Story URL)
