Eight previously unaired episodes from the Friends spinoff Joey are now available on the Friends YouTube channel, nearly 20 years after the show’s 2006 cancellation. The NBC sitcom starring Matt LeBlanc ended during its second season with these final episodes never broadcast in the United States. The complete 46-episode series now streams on YouTube. Joey followed the character as he moved from New York to Hollywood to advance his acting career. The cast included Drea de Matteo, Paulo Costanzo, Jennifer Coolidge and Andrea Anders. Despite debuting to 18.6 million viewers in 2004, ratings declined throughout both seasons. Friends executive producer Kevin S. Bright later criticized the spinoff’s direction, telling The Age in 2006 that Joey “became a pathetic, mopey character” rather than the reliable friend from the original series. (Story URL)
