HENNING, Minn. (KFGO) – A 67-year-old Henning man is recovering from minor injuries after the tractor he was driving was hit by a train.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says the tractor was approaching a Canadian Pacific Railroad crossing just before 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, and was unable to stop for the southbound train.
The tractor and train collided at the rail crossing. The tractor driver was taken to a hospital in Perham. No one on the train was hurt.
Deputies say the tractor was totaled and the train had minor damage. Neighbors helped clear machinery off the tracks.
