Jeremy Renner has rejected harassment accusations from director Yi Zhou, who alleged he sent unwanted intimate photos and displayed threatening behavior. “The allegations being made are totally inaccurate and untrue,” Renner’s rep told Variety. Zhou, 37, made the claims on Instagram using hashtag “#CancelJeremyRenner.” She alleged Renner contacted her in June with “unwanted/unsolicited pornographic images” via direct message and WhatsApp, then “seduced” her. Zhou told the Daily Mail she locked herself in a room during an August 20th meeting after Renner consumed wine and became “violent.” The pair previously collaborated on documentary Chronicles of Disney and AI-animated film Stardust Future: Stars and Scars. Zhou characterized the incident as highlighting “the dark side of Hollywood” and efforts to silence “women and Asian female filmmakers.” (Story URL)
