Hulu Orders ‘Prison Break’ Reboot Series To Production

Hulu has approved a Prison Break reboot for full series production. The streaming platform initially issued a pilot order in December 2024 before moving forward with the complete season. The reimagined series takes place within the original show’s universe while introducing fresh characters and an entirely new plot. According to the official description, “An ex-soldier turned corrections officer (Emily Browning) takes a job at one of the deadliest prisons in America to prove just how far she’ll go for someone she loves.” The original Fox drama delivered five successful seasons and spawned multiple spinoffs including a TV movie and mobile-exclusive content.
