Parma Heights Police Department officers found themselves pursuing an escaped giant inflatable pumpkin that broke loose from a home and rolled through the community early Wednesday morning. Body camera footage released by the department shows an officer and civilian holding the wayward decoration at roadside after the chase. “I was pretty much in pursuit,” the officer explained in the video. Police transported the oversized pumpkin back to its owner’s property by stuffing it into a patrol vehicle. The department posted on social media that officers were “in hot pursuit of a giant inflatable pumpkin” during the unusual incident. “Officers can confirm that Cinderella’s carriage did, in fact, turn back into a pumpkin just after midnight in Parma Heights,” police wrote.
