A dog named Eeyore helped rescue his injured owner after she fell during their evening walk in Destin, Florida on September 25th around 10:30 p.m. The 86-year-old woman’s husband called authorities when she didn’t return home, telling Deputy Devon Miller “She never takes more than 10 or 15 minutes. It’s almost an hour now!” Miller spotted Eeyore while driving and the dog immediately led her to where the woman lay injured on a sidewalk near a golf course. The deputy told the woman “I was in front of that house right there, and then the dog ran up to me.” The surprised woman asked “And the dog brought you?” before telling the dog “He wouldn’t leave! He kept coming back to me!” She later praised Eeyore saying “Oh Eeyore, you’re such a good boy!” and “Grandma loves you!” Paramedics transported the woman to a medical facility for evaluation.
