WOLVERTON, Minn. (KFGO) – The state patrol says a Wahpeton man was killed in a collision between the semi-tanker truck he was driving and a road grader at the intersection of two roads in Wilkin County late Thursday afternoon.
Nicholas Terfehr, 40, died in the fiery crash. The driver of the road grader, Darin Differding, 44, of Hankinson, North Dakota, was taken to the hospital in Breckenridge with non life-threatening injuries.
The patrol says the semi and grader were both southbound when they collided. The grader rolled on its roof.
Troopers, deputies from Wilkin and Clay Counties, Rothsay Fire and Barnesville Fire and Ambulance responded. A deputy state fire marshal is assisting with the investigation.
