Mayo Clinic Scottsdale has prohibited Graveyard Shift Coffee from serving on its campus due to the truck’s death-themed branding. The coffee trailer announced on social media Monday that it was banned, stating “Unfortunately, do [sic] to our logo and name, we are no longer allowed to serve coffee at Mayo Hospital. Effective immediately.” The business features a skeleton in scrubs logo and serves drinks with names like Bloody Eye, Formaldehyde, and Murder Spice. Despite the morbid theme, the truck was designed to serve hospital night shift workers from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. It continues operating at Phoenix Children’s, Abrazo Central Campus and HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center. The announcement received over 1,600 likes and 300 comments by Wednesday morning, with supporters suggesting alternative hospital locations. (Story URL)
