A 13-year-old boy from Kunduz, Afghanistan, survived hiding in a Kam Air flight’s landing gear during a 94-minute journey from Kabul to Delhi on Monday. Airport authorities in New Delhi found the teenager wandering on the runway after the plane landed and detained him for questioning. The boy told investigators he acted out of curiosity, not to escape Afghanistan. He had sneaked into Kabul airport, followed travelers, and hid in the rear wheel well with only a red audio speaker. India’s Central Industrial Security Force said “An aircraft security check was conducted by the airline’s security and engineering staff during which a red-colored audio speaker was found in the rear landing gear area.” The teen originally intended to reach Iran but boarded the wrong flight. After two hours of questioning, authorities returned him to Kabul on the same aircraft. (Story URL)
