A zoo supervisor with over 30 years of experience died Wednesday after six or seven lions attacked him at Safari World Bangkok. Thai officials confirmed the fatality occurred when the worker exited his vehicle in the open-air safari zone. A park visitor witnessed the man standing with his back to the animals before a lion grabbed him. “The lions continued attacking for about 15 minutes,” the witness said. The attack happened around 11am during peak tourist hours with many Thai and foreign visitors present. Parkgoers honked horns and yelled for help. Another zookeeper eventually pulled the victim away. Safari World announced it would urgently review safety protocols. (Story URL)
