Nearly half of Gen Z consumers are relieved that wide-leg jeans have surpassed skinny fits as the preferred denim style. A poll of 2,000 women found the younger generation often struggles to find flattering skinny jeans, with 34% disliking how tight and stiff they feel. As a result, 25% of Gen Z now consider wide-leg their top choice, while 31% favor high-waisted and 27% like boyfriend styles. In contrast, 23% of millennials still name skinny jeans as their favorite. Overall, the survey shows straight-leg is the most popular fit at 30%, seen as the most confident and office-appropriate option. However, Gen Z is driving a rise in casual denim, being twice as likely as other groups to wear boyfriend jeans to work. (Talking Points)
