An Idaho resident has regained an unusual Guinness World Records title by enduring 96 wet sponges to the face in one minute. David “Record Breaker” Rush and frequent collaborator Jonathan “Hollywood” Hannon previously held the record for most wet sponges thrown at one participant in a minute, with 92. However, this mark was later surpassed by another team. To reclaim the title, Hannon pelted Rush with 96 sponges, requiring the latter to meticulously time the impacts to avoid injury to his eyes. Rush, who has secured over 181 Guinness World Records, described the challenge as a “nonstop cycle of precision timing.” This marks the 47th jointly-held record for Rush and Hannon. (UPI)
