Shoppers at an Indonesian grocery store were shocked to find a crocodile wandering through the cereal and snack aisle over the weekend. Bystanders filmed the reptile scurrying and whipping its tail inside the Fujiyama supermarket in Wayo, North Maluku province on Sunday evening. Attempts were made to get the crocodile out using a ladder, but it refused to move. Firefighters eventually arrived and removed the crocodile, lassoing it and covering its eyes and mouth before transporting it away. The evacuation took over an hour, with the authorities believing the crocodile came from a nearby swamp after recent heavy rainfall. Police warned locals to be cautious, as more crocodiles could emerge from the flooded waters. The incident left shoppers startled, but the crocodile did not attack anyone during its unexpected visit to the grocery store. (People)
