If you listen to The Morning Playhouse on Y94, you’ve probably heard me mention the weight I gained during pregnancy — over 50 pounds. I’ve lost about 20 so far, but finding something to wear in the morning has been tough because I don’t fit into 95% of my closet.
A full wardrobe update just isn’t in the budget right now, so I was excited to learn that Clothes Mentor on 45th Street offers FREE personal shopping. You fill out a quick style quiz, they call to book your appointment, and when you show up, they have outfits ready for you to try on. You only buy what you love!
Shantelle was my stylist, and honestly, she made the whole experience amazing. I’ve been living in bike shorts and oversized tees, and I was nervous to try things on without knowing what size I am anymore. But Shantelle was so kind, understanding, and patient — grabbing different sizes, offering suggestions, and showing me how to style the looks. I never once felt rushed or uncomfortable.
The best part? I bought a few things I never would’ve picked out myself — like that red vest in the photo — and now I love them.
Whether your body has changed or you just need a fresh update, this is such an easy, affordable way to feel great in your clothes again.
Just to be clear — this isn’t a paid advertisement. I genuinely had such a wonderful experience at Clothes Mentor that I wanted to share it with everyone who might need a little style boost!
