Subaru has surpassed BMW as the top-ranked car brand in the annual Consumer Reports assessment. The two automakers swapped positions from the previous year, with the rankings based on road tests, reliability, owner satisfaction, and safety. Lexus and Porsche tied for third place. The bottom of the list included Jeep, Rivian, Land Rover, GMC, and Dodge. Several brands, such as Lincoln, Alfa Romeo, and Jeep, did not have a single recommended model. Tesla maintained its 18th-place ranking. Brands required a minimum of two current models to be included in the assessment, which excluded Fiat, Jaguar, Lucid, Maserati, Polestar, and Ram. (Newser)
