This led to the arrest of teenagers Kevin Bui, Gavin Seymour, and Dillon Siebert. Bui orchestrated the arson based on a mistaken belief that his phone thieves resided at the location. The fire claimed five lives, resulting in Bui and Seymour receiving lengthy prison sentences, while Siebert was placed in juvenile detention.
