A 72-year-old Florida man has been arrested for making 16,000 calls to 911 over the past five years, with 3,400 calls made just in the first five months of this year. The man, identified as Samuel Lee Thomas, was arrested for allegedly stalking a neighbor after making numerous complaints to the police about the neighbor’s home. Police responded to a 911 call reporting gunplay, only to find a family barbecue with no evidence of any shooting. Thomas was charged with stalking, false report of a crime, and resisting arrest. Despite his extensive criminal record, Thomas claimed his calls to police were about “neighborhood nuisances.” (Thesmokinggun)
