Man Pees on $10,000 Worth of Spam at Sam’s Club
A 70-year-old man is facing felony charges after urinating on pallets of Spam and Vienna sausages at a Sam’s Club in Lady Lake, Florida.
According to police, Patrick Mitchell relieved himself in aisle 18, contaminating nearly 200 bulk packs of Vienna sausages and over 300 packs of Spam, valued at more than $10,500. A witness snapped a photo of the act, which was backed up by surveillance footage showing Mitchell standing with “both hands in front of him below the belt line.”
After the incident, Mitchell reportedly wandered over to the snack aisle, sat on patio furniture for ten minutes, and then casually paid for his items at the register and walked out.
Store membership records and a match with his driver’s license confirmed his identity. He was later arrested at his home in The Villages, a retirement community known for being “Florida’s Friendliest Hometown.”
Mitchell is now facing criminal mischief (a felony, due to the damage cost) and disorderly conduct charges. He’s pleaded not guilty and is out on bond, with a court date set for June 30.
Not exactly what they meant by “club membership privileges.” But now I’m wondering… is Aisle 18 the name of some exclusive membership gym at Sam’s Club with golden showers?
