During a recent appearance on Monica Lewinsky‘s podcast, Reclaiming, Miley Cyrus discussed her efforts to mend fractured family relationships following a tumultuous period. Addressing the aftermath of her parents’ 2022 divorce, which left family members not speaking to each other, Cyrus shared that the situation had escalated beyond the need for therapy. “We’re so messy, we didn’t even do any of that,” Cyrus admits. “Just to get each other into a room to get to counseling would have been a war.” Refusing to delve into any specifics of the family rifts, Cyrus emphasized the importance of bringing happiness and joy back into their lives as a precursor to healing and rebuilding lines of communication. “‘I’m here, you’re here, let’s start by having a good time together,’” Cyrus said of her approach to mending her family relationships over the past year, before adding, “Then, as we start bringing some happiness and joy into each other’s life, then we’ll be in a better place to have these conversations.” (Rolling Stone)
