Lilo & Stitch topped the North American box office for the third consecutive weekend, earning an estimated $32.5 million. The movie has now surpassed the $300 million milestone globally, with a worldwide haul of $772.6 million. Debuting in second place was the first John Wick spinoff, Ballerina, which opened to a softer-than-expected $25 million despite great reviews. This marks the lowest start for any title in the John Wick franchise since the original. The R-rated action movie stars Ana de Armas in the title role, with Keanu Reeves also making an appearance. Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning, Tom Cruise’s final outing as Ethan Hunt, claimed the third spot with an estimated $15 million. Rounding out the top five were Karate Kid: Legends, which earned $8.7 million in its second week, and Final Destination: Bloodlines, which grossed $6.5 million in its fourth weekend. (THR)
