Lizzo’s attorneys insist that this trip was optional, while adding that “Lizzo held these outings as a necessary part of her creative process. Early social gatherings during international tours are critical to teambuilding and fostering cohesion.” Lizzo’s legal team is emphasizing the importance of not interfering with artists’ creative freedom, while the plaintiffs have not publicly addressed the appeal.
