Sheriff’s deputies in Wisconsin successfully apprehended an escaped pig after a brief pursuit in the Town of Wayne. The incident began when a farmer reported an animal at large in a subdivision, prompting deputies to respond. After a short chase, one deputy skillfully lassoed the pig, which then decided to take a dip in a nearby ditch. With the assistance of a construction vehicle equipped with a large shovel, the farmer and deputies managed to retrieve the pig from the ditch and return it safely to its pen. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office humorously mentioned the event on social media, warning potential jokesters “we’ve heard all the jokes.” (UPI)
