TikTok users under 18 will see a new notification if they’re scrolling after 10 p.m.: A guided meditation. The new “Meditation in Sleep Hours” feature will be available for all users, but will be turned on by default for underage teenagers. “If a teen decides to use TikTok after 10 p.m., their For You feed will be interrupted by a guided meditation exercise, helping them wind down for the night,” the announcement reads. It’s unclear what the impact will be on late-night use. A 2024 Pew Research survey found that 45% of teens say social media hurts the amount of sleep they get. (Mashed)
