Geriatric RAGE: 88-Year-Old Florida Woman Hits Scooter-Bound Senior, Drives Off
Florida’s senior showdown hit a new level after an 88-year-old woman was arrested for fleeing the scene of a crash that injured another senior citizen — this one 77 years old and on a mobility scooter.
The wild parking lot collision happened outside a Sam’s Club, where the elder driver reportedly struck the scooter-bound woman with her SUV, threw her from the scooter, and then just kept driving.
Police caught up with the woman four hours later at her home, where she was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash. No word yet on whether she offered the classic “I didn’t see her” excuse or just thought she’d engaged in senior bumper cars.
The 77-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment, but her current condition has not been released.
If you thought Florida headlines couldn’t get more Florida, here comes senior-citizen-on-senior-citizen vehicular violence in a Sam’s Club parking lot.
