South Carolina Man Strips Naked After TSA Search, Gets 33 Months in Prison
George Stevens really didnโt take the phrase strip search lightly.
The 38-year-old South Carolina man was sentenced to 33 months in federal prison after an intoxicated meltdown at the Indianapolis International Airport, where he responded to a TSA screening by dropping his pants, shaking his butt at officers, and assaulting a federal agent.
Stevens was going through a TSA checkpoint in July 2023 when officers selected him for additional screening. Instead of complying, he got aggressive, called the officer a โfreak,โ and thenโbecause that clearly wasnโt dramatic enoughโhe squatted and shook his bare behind at the TSA agents and passengers.
When officers tried to de-escalate the situation, Stevens pulled his pants and underwear down completely, tossed his jeans onto a supervisorโs shoulder, and hurled his underwear at them. Things went further south when he advanced towards the supervisor fully naked.
TSA had to shut down multiple screening lines as Stevens put on a show in full view of families, kids, and traumatized travelers just trying to catch their flights. Airport police finally arrested him.
Stevensโ past rap sheet includes domestic violence and firearms offenses, so the judge threw the book at him, giving him the maximum sentence under federal guidelines. After his prison time, heโll have three years of supervised release.
